What are the hours the skate park is open?
During the Summer monthes 8:00 am - 9:00 pm, Mon-Fri. Otherwise dawn to dusk, Mon-Fri.

If I drop my kids off at the park, is there any adult supervision?
Riley Skate Park is Unsupervised. Parents are responsible for supervising their children.

How often are park rangers on scene?
Park Rangers patrol all Farmington Hills Parks and often make stops at Riley Skate Park.

Is there a helmet requirement, why or why not?
All safety equipment is highly recommended when using Riley Skate Park. It is up to the individual user and parents, to make sure safety is considered first when participating in any activity.

What happens if someone gets hurt?
If a skater is injured at Riley Skate Park, 911 should be called immediately. Farmington Hills Fire Department has 5 stations located in Farmington Hills., and offer a quick response time.

Rules and Guidelines
Can I ride my BMX bike in the park?
No, only Skateboards and In-line Skates are allowed in Riley Skate Park, due to design of the park and the safety of mixed use.

Is the park going to be open all Winter?
Riley Skate Park will be open throughout the entire year. Should inclement weather occur, it is not recommended that people use the park.

Can we still skate if it's raining outside?
It is often difficult to skate in the rain. It is not recommended that individuals skate in the rain or snow.

Can we bring a group and picnic at the park while our kids skate?
The Bricht House Pavilion is available for all to use and enjoy. The Farmington Hills Department of Special Services will soon offer exclusive use of the Bright House Pavilion for birthday parties and other events, through reservation. If you are interested in reserving the Bright House Pavilion, please call 248-473-1800.

Who do we call if we see someone causing problems at the park?
Call 248-473-1800, the same phone number that is located on the rules sign at the entrances of Riley Skate Park or call 911 if it is an emergency. Please make sure to do your part and keep the park clean. Parents and others are encouraged to respectfully ask those who are smoking, using profanity or doing anything else that should cause concern, to please speak up and do your part in educating our youth, proper morals in a public setting.

How can I make a donation?
Donations are needed to keep Riley Skate Park clean, safe, and advanced! Donations can be made by simply dropping money in the donation pole at the park entrance(should be in place sometime August 2009) or send a check or credit card number to the Costick Center, Attn: Riley Skate Park, 28600 Eleven Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336. Bricks can be purchased at anytime, and we encourage all users to purchase a brick. Riley Skate Park is FREE to skate, and it is our hope that users show their appreciation by purchasing a brick to be placed in Riley Skate Park. Can you purchase skater gear or Riley Skate Park t-shirts at the park?
Souvenirs are available for purchase in the Farmington Hills Ice Arena. Current souvenirs include: RSP Skateboard Key chains; stickers; coffee mugs; and t-shirts.

General Information
Who designed the park?
Riley Skate Park was designed by one of the best skate park designers in the country, Site Design Group. The 29,000 square foot all-concrete park will be host of local and national competitions and will become the area's premier hotspot for skateboarders and in-line skaters.

The Riley Skate Park is located at 35750 W 8 Mile Rd at Founders Sports Park in Farmington Hills, Michgan. North off 8 Mile Rd. between Farmington and Halsted roads. See map/get directions.

Currently, 722,000 people visit Founder's Sports Park each year for various activities and events. 28,300 vehicles pass by Founder's Sports Park every day. The location of Riley Skate Park in Founder's Sports Park will provide corporate and individual donors tremendous exposure and area businesses economic support.
